Mazzoleni London

The Mazzoleni Gallery is located in Mayfair, near the Royal Academy of Arts, and opened at the end of 2014. Its history goes back to the 1960s, when husband and wife Giovanni and Anna Pia Mazzoleni, passionate art lovers, began to collect their private collection and eventually opened a family gallery in their native Turin in 1986. Later the gallery passed into the hands of their sons, and it is to them we owe the appearance of the London branch.

The focus here is primarily on twentieth-century Italian art: post-war artists and representatives of the Art Povera, although the gallery’s collection includes Surrealists, Futurists, and authors from other countries. The level is practically museum-like, so even picky art connoisseurs appreciate this place and come here often.

Moreover that in recent years Mazzoleni has been very active in prestigious international art fairs, and its visibility around the world has increased significantly. The program of the gallery is very rich – in London the exhibitions change monthly, so you can always catch something fresh and interesting. Entrance is free.

Over the last three decades Mazzoleni has organized solo and group exhibitions of more than 200 outstanding Italian and foreign artists of the 20th century with an exhibition program focused on Italian museum art of the post-war period and, more recently, on contemporary panorama, working in close cooperation with the artists’ estates and foundations.
