07/18 & 25, 08/1 & 8 - Celebrate Summer drop-in art classes with Ellie Easley

Take a break from the summer heat and join Ellie Easley in creative, summertime art projects in these Friday afternoon drop-in classes at Confluence Gallery.

In her first class, she'll show children how to make a simple birdhouse out of woven reeds, mimicking a natural birdhouse for sparrows, chickadees, house wrens or other small birds. Hang it in a tree and watch to see when the birds decide to move in.

In the second class, children will make a colorful delta kite, perfect for catching summer breezes, in the second class.

During the third session, children will make decorative nylon wind spinners to twirl from the eaves of a house or the branch of a tree.

In the final session, Ellie will help students create a theme collage that children can continue adding items to after the class.

Choose one session or come to all. Ellie Easley is of Cherokee descent and has a wide artistic repertoire. Her work is displayed in galleries and shops in Washington, Alaska, and New Mexico.

The class is for children 6 - 12 years old. Space may be reserved in advance by calling Confluence Gallery to register.
Fridays, July18 & 25, August 1 & 8, 2 - 3:30 p.m.
$15 per session
