Confluence Gallery’s
Annual Tour of Homes:
Home Sweet Home…and Garden
Given a burgeoning interest
in gardening and sustainable living, Confluence Gallery &
Art Center’s eighth annual Methow Valley Tour of Homes
will include three vegetable gardens and six homes.
Home Sweet Home...and Garden is Saturday, June 27, from 10
a.m. to 5 p.m. Homes showcased in this year’s tour feature
unique designs, efficient building materials and cozy livability.
Various construction styles are represented including log,
timber frame and contemporary open beam. Contractors, architects
and artisans will be at the home sites to answer questions.
For aspiring or befuddled vegetable gardeners, experienced
consultants with very green thumbs will be in the gardens
to answer questions and demonstrate effective approaches to
garden design, irrigation and deer defense. The tour, extending
from Twisp River to the Mazama store, coincides with the similarly
themed exhibit at Confluence Gallery entitled Home Sweet Home,
which showcases various approaches to displaying art in the
home and garden.
Tickets for the tour are $25 or, to encourage car-pooling,
four for $80. Tickets are now on sale at Confluence Gallery,
104 Glover Street, Twisp. Ticket sales are limited and advance
purchase is recommended.
On the day before and the day of the tour, ticket holders
can redeem their tickets at the gallery for a tour map and
a brochure describing each house. Proceeds from ticket sales
support exhibits and programs offered by Confluence Gallery
& Art Center. For additional information, please call
509-997-2787.
