Garden Art Exhibit Opens August 1

Artwork created for the garden will be on display in a Garden Art Exhibit and Sale hosted by Methow Valley Inn and Confluence Gallery & Art Center, opening Aug. 1 and continuing through Sept. 15.

The exhibit will be on display in Methow Valley Inn’s shady courtyard area. It will feature an array of outdoor artwork and sculpture by local and regional artists that will be available for sale.

“All materials derive from nature,” said exhibit curator Theresa Miller. “When we manipulate them to express artful display in our gardens, we also create an understated reference to nature.”

The exhibit is a collaboration between Confluence Gallery and Methow Valley Inn, which is contributing its courtyard for the exhibit. The exhibit will be open to visitors from noon-9 p.m. every day. Proceeds from the sale of garden art benefit the artists and the programs of Confluence.
